Rise in temperature Thursday, Cairo records highs of 34°C

CAIRO – 3 June 2020: The Meteorological Authority expected a rise in temperature on Thursday, where Cairo will record highs of 34°C.

Meanwhile, a nice weather will be witnessed on the northern coasts accompanied by moderate winds that are sometimes active. Experts also expect that the northern and southern parts of Upper Egypt will experience very hot and moderate winds.

At night, the meteorological agency expects that cold weather will prevail over Cairo and Lower Egypt, the northern coasts, as well as the northern and southern parts of Upper Egypt.

The Meteorological Authority indicated that wind activity is expected on the Gulf of Suez, which will lead to the disturbance of the maritime navigation.

Thursday’s temperature degrees come as follows:

Greater Cairo will record highs of 34°C and lows of 20°C
Alexandria will record highs of 27°C and lows 19°C
Matrouh will record highs of 25°C and lows of 16°C
Sohag will record highs of 42°C and lows of 25°C
Qena will record highs of 42°C and lows of 26°C
Aswan will record highs of 42°C and lows of 27°C

It was expected that a hot wave will hit Egypt as of Monday for three days, but changes happened in pressure distributions and due to the fading of the air depression, it was only witnessed on Monday, according to Undersecretary of the Center for Remote Sensing of the Meteorological Authority Iman Shaker.
