Heat wave to hit Egypt; Cairo records 39°C

CAIRO – 30 May 2020: A heat wave will hit Egypt for three days starting Monday, where the temperature will rise gradually until it peaks on Wednesday.

Cairo is expected to record highs of 35°C on Monday, 36°C on Tuesday and 39°C on Wednesday.

In southern Egypt, Egypt’s Meteorological Authority expected a hot weather to prevail, where temperature degrees will hit highs of 43°C in northern and southern Upper Egypt.

On Sunday, a moderate weather is expected in Cairo and Lower Egypt, recording highs of 30°C and lows of 19°C in Cairo; highs of 26°C and lows of 18°C in Alexandria and highs of 37°C and lows of 25°C in Aswan.
