CAIRO – 1 April 2020: Nearly seven buildings were quarantined and sterilized in Port Said governorate after detecting coronavirus (COVID-19) positive cases living in them.
The buildings will remain under quarantine for fourteen days, as governor Adel al Ghadban affirmed that he has allocated special teams to provide the families quarantined inside buildings with goods, medicines and anything they might need during the 14 days.
Belayim Petroleum Company located in Port Said was also reported to be quarantined including 150 workers and employee inside it. The decision came shortly after discovering a positive COVID-19 case inside the company.
During a meeting with Prime Minister Mustafa Madbouli, Wednesday, President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi reviewed the Egyptian state’s efforts to fight the novel coronavirus (COVID-19).
Sisi and Madbouli have reviewed the ongoing communications at the foreign level, to coordinate international measures to fight the deadly virus and curb its spread, according to Presidential spokesman Bassam Radi.
Egypt’s Ministry of Health recorded on Tuesday 54 new positive cases for COVID-19 virus to have the number of the infected rising to 710, 157 of them recovered, and 46 died.
