BEIJING, March 29 (MENA) - China has reported 44 new coronavirus infections together with one regionally transmitted case whereas the death toll on account of COVID-19 reached 3,300 with 5 new fatalities, according to the National Health Commission.

The domestically transmitted case was reported in Henan province on Saturday, it said.

The 5 new fatalities had been all reported from the epicentre Hubei province.

So far, 81,439 infections were reported in China, including 3,300 individuals who have died, 2,691 still under medication and 75,448 others who were discharged after therapy.
