CAIRO – 19 March 2020: Egyptian Ambassador to Kuwait Tariq al-Qouni said on Tuesday that the Ministry of Immigration succeeded to facilitate an exceptional trip to evacuate 300 stranded Egyptian citizens in Kuwait.

He confirmed that the journey came within the framework of Egypt's keenness on the safety of the Egyptian community abroad and its quick response to solve all their problems due to the spread of coronavirus.

Meanwhile, Immigration Minister Nabila Makram announced that the ministry sent 30 buses on Thursday morning to Qastal border checkpoint in Sudan to bring back the stranded Egyptians.

The move is part of the precautionary measures taken by Egypt to combat the spread of coronavirus.
