BEIJING, March 19 (MENA) - China's National Health Commission announced on Thursday that no coronavirus cases were registered inside China for first time since the outbreak.

The cases detected are among those coming from abroad, the committee said, noting that the cases registered are 8 deaths and 34 infected cases.

The total number of confirmed cases now stands at 81,107 and the cumulative death toll is 3,248.

The Chinese National Health Commission said 819 patients were released from hospitals after being cured, upping the total number of patients discharged from hospital to 70,547 until Wednesday evening.

The number of severe cases decreased by 308 to 2,314.
