AL chief: AL committed to supporting ceasefire efforts in Libya

CAIRO, March 4 (MENA) - Arab League (AL) Secretary General Ahmed Abul Gheit on Wednesday renewed the AL's commitment to efforts for supporting an immediate ceasefire in Libya.

At a meeting with Mohammed al Taher, the foreign minister of the Libyan National Accord Government, the AL chief underlined the necessity of maintaining dialogue at the security, political and economic levels to reach a comprehensive settlement of the Libyan crisis.

Taher is leading his country's delegation to the Arab League Council meetings that will be held here later in the day.
