CAIRO, March 3 (MENA) - Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli on Tuesday followed up the efforts of the Crisis Management and Disaster Risk Reduction Sector at the cabinet's Information and Decision Support Center (IDSC) as part of measures taken by all bodies to counter the spread of novel coronavirus known as COVID-19.

Prime Minister Assistant Osama Gohar, acting chief of IDSC, asserted that the disasters and crisis management sector will cooperate with the Ministry of Education, the Preventive Medicine Sector at the Ministry of Health and Azhar to organize awareness courses for directors of schools, Azharite institutes and teachers on the preventive measures against coronavirus and how to combat its spread.

He made it clear that the premier has issued directives to distribute awareness leaflets in all ministries and other governmental bodies on means of protection against the new disease.

Meanwhile, Head of the Crisis Management and Disaster Risk Reduction Sector Mohamed Abdel Maqsoud asserted that the preventive medicine sector will carry out training courses for directors of educational directors and heads of Azharite institutes on March 5, 12 and 19 on ways of protection against infection with COVID-19.

He explained that the lectures of the training will be delivered via the videoconference so as to explain the best means of dealing with any suspected cases of the disease as well as protection means. Trainees will be instructed to carry out actual scenarios for dealing with possible patients.
