CAIRO - 20 February 2020: Egypt strongly condemned the terrorist attack that targeted two cafe houses in the German city of Hanau, killing a number of people.

In a statement, the Foreign Ministry expressed heart-felt condolences to the families of the victims, reiterating the Egyptian government and people's support of Germany in face of violence, extremism and racism.

It renewed call on the international community to step up efforts to face terrorism that knows no religion and stand against such heinous crimes that target the security and stability of world peoples.

Nine people were killed in a shooting attack at two hookah bars over night. The police found him dead, alongside his mother, 73, at his home early Thursday.
