CAIRO, Feb 19 (MENA) - There are a total of 73,000 confirmed cases of COVID-19 across the world, including those in China, World Health Organization (WHO) Regional Director for the Eastern Mediterranean Dr Ahmed Al-Mandhari said Wednesday.

In a press conference held on the recent updates about COVID-19 outbreak, Al-Mandhari said that the first COVID-19 cases in the Eastern Mediterranean Region were reported three weeks ago.

There are currently a total of ten COVID-19 cases reported in two countries in the Eastern Mediterranean Region, he said.

He added that 99% of COVID-19 cases are reported in China.
