China: Confirmed cases of COVID-19 stands at 74,279, death toll rises to 2007

BEIJING, Feb 19 (MENA) - A total of 1,749 new cases of the novel coronavirus were confirmed on the Chinese mainland and 136 new deaths were reported on Tuesday night, according to China's National Health Commission.

The total number of confirmed cases on the Chinese mainland now stands at 74,279 and the cumulative death toll is 2007.

Chinese health authorities said 14,376 patients were discharged from hospital, while 11,977 others are still in serious conditions.
