CAIRO, Feb 18 (MENA) - Assistant Foreign Minister for European Affairs Badr Abdel Ati had talks on Tuesday with General Director of Asia, Africa and Latin America of the Belarusian Foreign Ministry Nikolai Borisevich on the positive development in bilateral ties in various domains, especially in the fields of tourism and manufacturing agricultural equipment.

The Egyptian Foreign Ministry said the talks also tackled promoting cooperation in the fields of energy, modern technology and IT.

The two sides also discussed a host of regional and international issues of mutual concern, especially combating terrorism and illegal migration as well as the Libyan and Syrian crises.

They underlined the importance of continued consultations to coordinate stands vis-a-vis issues of mutual concern.

The two sides also stressed the importance of furthering bilateral cooperation as Egypt is considered a gateway to Africa, especially as the African Continental Free Trade Area has already gone into effect.
