President Sisi chairs 33rd AU Summit

CAIRO - 9 February 2020: President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi posed for a photo op with the leaders and heads of state participating in the 33rd African Union (AU) summit in Addis Ababa on Sunday.

The summit comes under the 2020 theme of “Silencing the Guns: Creating Conducive Conditions For Africa’s Development,” a commitment that aims at achieving peace and security in Africa, in accordance with continent’s Agenda 2063.

During the opening session of the summit, Sisi will hand over the presidency of African Union to South African President Cyril Ramaphosa.
