Housing min.: Comprehensive mechanism for ensuring drinking water quality

CAIRO, Jan 27 (MENA) - Housing Minister Essam el Gazzar stressed that there is a comprehensive mechanism for ensuring the quality of potable water in line with ISO 17025 which is the international standard for testing and calibration laboratories.

The mechanism is implemented in tandem with the Health and Population Ministry.

Egyptian Water Regulatory Agency (EWRA) CEO Mohamed Hassan said the agency tests water samples from various governorates and issues reports on the quality of water.

Moreover, EWRA teams conduct field tours in laboratories as well as water networks.
