CAIRO, 17 Jan 2020: The cabinet denied reports circulated on social media claiming that the government is planning to finally cancel bread subsidy as of July this year.

In a statement on Friday, the cabinet media center said it contacted the Ministry of Supply and Home Trade which asserted that there is no intention to lift bread subsidy, adding that the state continues delivering a subsidized loaf of bread to the citizens at five piasters.
