WASHINGTON, Jan 8 (MENA) - The Pentagon said Wednesday the missile attacks launched by Iran on Ain Al Assad military base and another base in Erbil only wounded Iraqis.

The US-funded Al Hurra news channel said Iran Revolutionary Guard threatened Israel as an ally to the United States.

Al Arabiya news channel said Israeli air force and anti-missile batteries were put on alert following the Iranian attacks on the US bases which host American troops.

Iran said it attacked the US bases in Iraq in retaliation for killing Qassem Soleimani, a prominent commander at the Revolutionary Guard, in a US drone attack on Friday.
