CAIRO, Dec 10 (MENA) - Parliament Member Alaa Abed Tuesday said the international community should exert collective efforts to protect human rights in light of the conflicts, disputes and wars that have affected these rights worldwide.

In press statements, the chairman of the House of Representatives Human Rights committee called on the United Nations to shoulder its responsibilities to confront human rights violations around the world in general and in Syria, Libya, Yemen, Iraq and Palestine in particular.

He called on all world nations to empower youth through their participation in public affairs issues and employ their potentials in reaching a better future.
