Cabinet agrees on establishing 'Research Endowment Fund'

CAIRO, 10 Dec (MENA) - Meeting under Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly, the Cabinet approved on Tuesday a draft presidential decree on establishing a Research Endowment Fund.

The establishment of the Research Endowment Fund aims to implement the government's plan, approved by the House of Representatives in July 2018 to support inventors and innovators and offer human capacity development programs and scholarships for young distinguished researchers in universities and research centers.

The fund will also bankroll research activities that require urgent financial support in all fields of technology and fundamental, applied and human science.
