CAIRO – 9 December 2019: Chadian Ambassador to Egypt Al-Amin Dodo Abdallah has expressed admiration for Egypt, saying that it was full of experiences and skills that can be beneficial for cooperation between the two African countries.

In press remarks on the sidelines of Chadian Defense Minister Mahamat Abali Salah's official visit to Egypt's Arab Organization for Industrialization on Sunday, Abdallah said that African could achieve self-sufficiency through cooperation among its own countries, state's news agency MENA reported.

Meeting the Chadian defense minister, Egyptian Interior Minister Mahmoud Tawfiq affirmed Egypt's support of the African security forces in terms of great interest in cooperation with African countries and Egypt's chairmanship of the African Union.

Tawfiq hailed Salah's visit which shows the depth of ties between Egypt and Chad, welcoming developing of security cooperation between the two countries, especially training the Chadian police staff.

The Chadian minister, for his part, lauded the level of efficiency which the Egyptian Interior Ministry reached and its efforts to maintain the country's stability.

He expressed his interest to benefit from the Egyptian security expertise.

In October, President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi met with Chadian President Idress Deby on the sidelines of the Russian- African Forum in Sochi, Russia, according to a statement issued by Egyptian presidential spokesperson Bassam Radi.

Sisi, during the meeting, underlined the strong historic relations between Egypt and Chad, affirming Egypt's keenness to further boost the bilateral relations, taking into account the two countries' mutual consensus on many regional and international issues.
