‘Youth Love Egypt’ takes part in COP21 - Napoli

The foundation’s delegation is headed by its chairman Ahmed Fathi who met with Deputy Executive Director of the United Nations Environment Programme Joyce Msuya on the sidelines. ‘Youth Love Egypt’ is an observer within the convention and took part in the preparatory meeting that took place in Athens in October.
CAIRO - 27 June 2018: Over the past nine months, the Youth Love Egypt Foundation, a foundation that observes the environment on behalf of the United Nations, has successfully raised awareness among more than 125,0000 visitors of Wadi El-Rayyan and Qaroun Lake in Fayoum.
The meeting discussed “governance-related themes,” including “inter alia, the evaluation of the current UNEP/MAP Mid-Term Strategy and the preparation of the new one for 2022-2027, the Operational Communication Strategy, the roadmap for the preparation of a Data Management Policy, issues of cooperation and partnerships, as well as the work of the Compliance Committee – the body established in 2008 to advise and assist the Contracting Parties in meeting their obligations under the Convention and its Protocols and, to facilitate, promote, monitor and ensure such compliance,” as indicated on the website of the Regional Marine Pollution Emergency Response Centre for the Mediterranean Sea (REMPEC).
