CAIRO – 6 December 2019: The Egyptian cabinet denied on Friday rumors regarding a government decision to increase the prices of train tickets starting January 2020.

The media center of the cabinet has communicated with the Ministry of Transportation that also denied any increases in train ticket prices.

The ministry further clarified that the ministry has been relying on new alternatives to maximize taking advantage of the Railway Authority resources to complete the railway facility development plan without increasing ticket prices.
