Egypt launches recycling competition for students

CAIRO – 7 November 2019: "Within the framework of efforts to enhance children’s awareness of environment protection, the ministries of environment and education launched the Best Environmental Artistic Awards for students of all ages," announced the ministry in a statement on Thursday.

"Students who are interested in competing have to submit this works on November 1-30," the statement added. All art works should be submitted at the Ministry of Education headquarters, according to the statement.

Students of different ages can participate in the competition by submitting their aesthetic paintings, made from recycled raw materials like paper and cans.

The works will be evaluated over the first week of December; the 15 winners will receive their financial awards in a ceremony at the Environmental Cultural and Educational Center later, the statement said.
