Sisi-Putin talks to focus on boosting bilateral ties: spox

SOCHI, Russia, Oct 22 (MENA) - President Abdel Fattah El Sisi, during his visit to the Russian city of Sochi, will hold a summit meeting with his Russian counterpart Vladmir Putin to discuss means of boosting bilateral relations in various domains and at all levels, presidential spokesman Bassam Radi said.

This comes within the framework of a comprehensive partnership and strategic cooperation agreement inked between Egypt and Russia and the keenness of both countries to promote cooperation and consultations on issues of mutual interest, he also said.

Sisi will hold one-on-one meetings with African leaders participating in the Russia-Africa summit in Sochi, Radi added.

He will also attend the launching of the Russia-Africa economic forum which will focus on several axes to develop trade cooperation and economic relations between Russia and the African countries, he said.

The two-day Russia-Africa summit in the Black Sea port of Sochi is the first summit of its kind which aims at deepening the distinguished and historical ties between Africa and Russia, he added.
