ALEXANDRIA, Egypt, Oct 8 (MENA) - South Korean Ambassador in Cairo Yoon Yu-chul said that Egypt is a key player in achieving stability in Africa and the Middle East.

In statements to MENA on Tuesday, the diplomat said that Egypt exerts great efforts in entrenching peace in Africa and the Arab world, lauding its leading role in Africa, particularly in light of its presidency of the African Union.

Egypt is a model of openness, diversity and acceptance of the other, he added.

Yoon had a meeting with Alexandria Governor Abdel Aziz Qonsowa on strengthening ties with Egypt in the political, economic and social domains.

In the culture domains, he expressed his country's keenness on boosting South Korean culture, underlining the South Korean Cultural Center is currently implementing several programs in all Egyptian governorates and cities to get acquainted with the Korean culture.
