VANCOUVER - 3 October 2019: Egyptian Ambassador to Canada Ahmed Abu Zeid wound up his three-day visit to Canada's British Columbia province as part of efforts to boost cooperation between Egypt and the Canadian provinces in the economic, investment and educational domains.

The visit includes several cities, including Vancouver, Victoria, Nanaimo and Squamish.

In press statements on Thursday, the diplomat said the visit aims at encouraging Canadian companies to pump money into the Egyptian market and benefit from investment privileges.

He said British Colombia province is the headquarters of many international companies operating in clean energy, environment protection, emission reduction, transport and wood industry.

The diplomat also visited Vancouver harbor, the largest sea port in Canada and the third in North America. More than one million containers are being handled at the port annually.

He also held a number of meetings with senior officials, including the prime minister of British Colombia province, presidents of universities and the director of the royal museum
