CAIRO - 27 September 2019: At his arrival at the Cairo International Airport from New York, President Abdel Fattah El Sisi commented on the ant-government Friday protests, saying "Egyptians can not be tricked. No worries."

Sisi's comments were given to a group of people and media persons, who were receiving him at the airport after his 6-day visit to New York to attend the 74th session of the UN General Assembly (UNGA 74).

He added that there are other people intend to "distort the reality," saying "a false and slander image is being created [on Egypt by those people]. Be cautious, those people will not let you success or live. It is a war between us and them; a small group vs a nation."

"The media has a great role to promote awareness among people and combat fake news and rumors," he continued.

"When I ask the Egyptians to go to streets, millions will respond. It is a message," President Sisi said.

The Egyptian security forces are on alert ahead of anti-government protests on Friday. The Friday protests are the second wave of rare and small protests in Egypt since April 2015, when dozens of people demonstrated against handing over the two islands of Tiran and Sanafir at the Aqaba Gulf to Saudi Arabia.
