CAIRO, Sept 21 (MENA) - The 6th edition of the Arab Media Leaders Forum will نick off on Sunday at the headquarters of the Arab League (AL) General Secretariat in Cairo.
The forum will be held in cooperation between the Arab Media Forum and the AL Media and Communication Sector, with the participation of over 100 prominent media and press figures from the Arab world.
The event pays particular attention to issues and developments affecting the region from time to time to come up with certain recommendations to be applied by Arab media entities to raise the public awareness in their communities, Forum's Secretary General Madi al Khamees said in a statement.
The one-day forum comprises two sessions, the first will discuss the media role under regional developments, the future of traditional media in light of the ongoing improvements in social media channels and how the media affects decision-making.
Themed "Media as a platform for leading public opinion", the second the session will deal with a raft of issues, atop of which will be development tracks at media institutions, potentials of media people and how educational institutions take part in improving this industry.
