CAIRO, 19 September 2019: The Foreign Ministry has appealed to Egyptian expats in Jordan to legalize their status, as part of an agreement signed between the two countries in July in this regard.
The call comes in coincidence with the Jordanian Labor Ministry's announcement to give a two-month deadline for Egyptian workers, who do not hold valid work permits, to adjust their conditions, according to a press release by the Foreign Ministry on Thursday.
The Foreign Ministry called on Egyptian workers there to head for labor offices in different Jordanian governorates to legalize their status after completing the required documents, the statement added.
The Foreign Ministry asserted its keenness to help Egyptian workers abroad adjust their conditions.
