CAIRO - 18 September 2019 – Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry will meet with Jean-Yves Le Drian, French Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs in Cairo on Tuesday, according to a statement from the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

After a bilateral meeting between the two ministers, they will hold a press conference at noon to announce the outcomes of their meeting, which will tackle the bilateral relations and issues of mutual concern, the statement added.

Egypt is Jean-Yves Le Drian’s second country in his Middle East tour, after paying a one-day visit to Sudan, where he announced 60 million euros in aid from France to Sudan, reported Sudan’s news agency SUNA on Monday.

Late August on the sidelines of the G7 Summit in France's Biarritz, President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi and his French counterpart Emmanuel Macron discussed developments of the regional and international issues.

They also discussed the economic ties between the two countries and the African-French relations, in light of Egypt's chairmanship of the African Union this year.
