ROME, Sept 13 (MENA) - Egyptian Ambassador to Italy, its permanent representative to the United Nations Agencies in Rome and the current president of the World Food Program (WFP) Hesham Badr on Friday chaired a joint meeting of the UN's Rome-based agencies.

The meeting brought together the executive councils of the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) and World Food Program (WFP).

The joint meeting touched on several issues of common interest among the three UN agencies, most notably the reform of the UN development system.

In this regard, the Egyptian ambassador noted that the meeting witnessed an exchange of viewpoints about the impact of reform on the work of the UN agencies.

It also tackled working to boost fields of cooperation and consultation among the UN agencies concerned to help governments implement the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
