CAIRO - 6 September 2019: Minister of Higher Education Khaled Abdel Ghaffar and director of UAE Space Agency Mohamed Nasser al Ahbabi discussed Friday means of boosting cooperation in the field of space sciences.

Abdel Ghaffar hailed the deep-historic ties between Cairo and Abu Dhabi in all fields, stressing Egypt’s constant keenness on enhancing these relations.

The minister highlighted the significance of the Arab coalition’s initiative, expected to be signed by 11 Arab states in November, aimed at establishing a satellite designed to serve the development goals in the Arab countries.

For his side, al Ahbabi said that UAE is working on 10-year national strategy for space to meet the vision of the Gulf country in this scientific domain.

UAE has ten satellites in the space, as well as eight others under constructions, al Ahbabi said.
