Cabinet denies depriving divorced woman from her father's pension

CAIRO - 29 August 2019: The media center of the cabinet denied on Thursday reports that the divorced woman will be deprived from her father's pension under the new social insurance system.

In a report, the center dismissed the reports as groundless, saying it contacted the ministry that stressed that it continues to honor its obligations towards all pensioners.

Such reports are meant to disrupt public order and trigger off pensioners' outrage, it said.

It urged all citizens not to be deceived by such reports and to immediately contact the ministry through hotline number 16439 if they have any query.
