CAIRO, Aug 18 (MENA) - Egyptian Foreign Ministry and Arab Parliament Speaker Mishaal bin Fahad Al Salmi condemned on Sunday the drone attack carried out by Houthis on Shaybah oil field in Saudi Arabia.

In a Sunday statement, the Egyptian Foreign Ministry reiterated the country's solidarity with Saudi people and government and support of all measures it takes in all attempts meant to preserve the kingdom's stability and security.

Meanwhile, Salmi said that by attacking vital installations in the kingdom, this cowardly act targets world energy supplies and threatens the world economy.

Deliberate attacks on important facilities in Saudi Arabia prove that Houthi group is a terrorist group that violates international law, he said.

He underlined the importance that the international community would shoulder responsibilities to get this group to end their repeated terrorist attacks that threaten peace, security and stability in the world and the area.

It reiterated Arab parliament's solidarity with Saudi Arabia in all measures it takes to protect its security and stability.
