KHARTOUM, Aug 7 (MENA) - Sudan called on the United States to lift its name from the "State Sponsors of Terrorism" list.

Undersecretary of the Sudanese Foreign Affairs Ministry Omer Dahab had a meeting with US Special Envoy for Sudan Ambassador Donald Booth on means of boosting bilateral ties and the role of the international community.

They also discussed what Sudan expected from the international community after the completion of the agreement on the transitional stage and the formation of the civilian government.

The Sudanese Foreign Ministry quoted Dahab as saying in a statement on Wednesday that Sudan is looking forward to be reintegrated into the world community and in need of the international community's support to achieve the goals of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development that was adopted by all United Nations Member States in 2015.

For his part, the US envoy said the US administration is working with its partners to mull means of helping Sudan, urging all parties to abide by the agreement.
