NIAMEY, July 8 (MENA) - The extraordinary African summit, which Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El Sisi opened in Niger's capital Niamey, was under spot of the whole world, Egyptian Presidential Spokesman Bassam Radi said.
Radi said the summit witnessed the launch of the African Continental Free Trade Agreement (AfCFTA) which is watershed stage in realizing economic integration in the continent.
During the summit, Sisi underlined the importance of upgrading the African infrastructure to render the agreement successful and boost trade and investments among African countries, Radi said.
Sisi lift the curtain on the memorial plaque due to be placed at the premises of the secretariat of the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA).
Sisi also launched a number of operational tools of the African trade area
