CAIRO, July 4 (MENA) - More than 326,000 residential units have been established in 2017-2018 at a total cost of 106.9 billion pounds, according to the Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics (CAPMAS).
In 2016-2017, 317,200 residential units were built worth 91.8 billion pounds.
This is a 2.9% increase in the number of units, a CAPMAS statement said Thursday.
The government built about 105,100 of all 326,300 units in 2017-2018.
Meanwhile, the private sector established about 221,200 units in the same year.
The housing projects implemented during the fiscal year 2017-2018 include low-cost, middle, upper middle, and luxurious housing units.
