CAIRO, July 1 (MENA) - EgyptAir signed on Monday a cooperation protocol with the Supreme Council of Antiquities on displaying and selling replicas of the most famous Egyptian antiquities at duty-free outlets in all airports.

The protocol was inked by Head of EgyptAir Reda Metwaly and Secretary-General of the SCA Mostafa Waziri in the presence of Chairman of EgyptAir Holding Company Ahmed Adel.

Metwaly said the protocol is the first step towards eminent cooperation with the Antiquities Ministry, stressing EgyptAir's role will includes any opportunities that could be offered to promote the Egyptian tourism through its offices abroad.

He wished more cooperation with the SCA would be achieved during the opening of the Grand Egyptian Museum.

Waziri, for his part, stated that the Antiquities Ministry is expected to finalize its factory for manufacturing the replicas in October.
