TRIPOLI, June 15 (MENA) - Troops of the Libyan National Army are still controlling Tripoli international Airport after repelling an attack carried out by factions affiliated with the Government of National Accord (GNA), Al Arabiya channel reported on Saturday.

Military sources with the GNA said that its troops entered the southern edge of the airport a month after a wide-scale operation launched to recapture it.

The sources added that troops of Field Marshal Khalifa Haftar are still taking over most of the airport, yet, it vowed that the forces of the UN-backed government would continue their operation in an attempt to retake control over the whole strategic airport.
