Al O'yoon Aqueduct Bridge is one of famous places in Cairo.

CAIRO - 2 June 2019: The Cabinet's media center denied in a Sunday statement that the government removed Al O'yoon Bridge and leather shops without compensating residents and owners of tanneries.

The statement stressed that all the rumors spreading on social media are baseless, adding that the owners of the tanneries of Al O'yoon Aqueduct Bridge are being compensated either by transferring the tannery to the industrial city of Ruwiki or by paying material compensation to those who do not wish to transfer.

The ministry called for media outlets and social media users to seek accuracy before spreading such news.

It is worth mentioning that Ruwiki project is a leather factory set to be located at the new town of leather, Ruwiki. The Chinese company Shang Sheng expressed its desire to obtain the right to operate that factory.
