CAIRO - 19 May 2019:Kuwait's Emir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah issued Sunday a decree approving a memorandum of understanding linking the manpower systems in Egypt and Kuwait to guarantee the quality of needed laborers and help decrease the number of seasonal laborers, a reliable source said.

According to the memorandum of understanding, an Egyptian-Kuwaiti technical committee will be formed grouping three experts in information systems, overseas employment and foreign relations, the source said.

The committee is to be tasked with making any changes it deems necessary and ironing out hurdles obstructing the implementation of the memo that will help select qualified laborers needed by the Kuwaiti market. Authorities in both Egypt and Kuwait will be notified with lists of the names of workers that will cross into the other side.

In April, Deputy Director of the General Authority for Manpower Sultan el-Shalaani said the memo awaits the approval of the Kuwaiti Cabinet to come into force.
