CAIRO, April 23 (MENA) - The summit of Sudan's regional partners that was hosted by Egypt on Tuesday is very important in light of the current situation in Sudan, said Egyptian Presidential Spokesman Ambassador Bassam Radi.

In press statements after the summit, he added that President Abdel Fattah El Sisi managed at the meeting to reach positive results for the best interest of the Sudanese people in an effort to preserve the unity of the Sudanese people and their stability.

He added that Chairman of the African Union Commission Musa Faqih visited Sudan and found thousands of Sudanese people on the street.

Faqih granted the Sudanese interim council 15 days to hand over power to a civilian government, said Radi, adding that President Sisi managed to extend this period from 15 days to three months for forming a government.
