CAIRO - 6 June 2017: Head of the Italian Council of Ministers Antonio Platis urges closing all mosques funded by Qatar in Italy, according to Italian newspaper “Rimini Today.”

Platis stated that the government ought to face the new terrorism scenarios. “It is unacceptable for Rome to continue ignoring and pretending that the problem doesn’t exist,” he added.

Platis also pointed out that in Mirandola, in the Modena Province, the most important mosque was built with money funded by Qatar. Cautioning that, “These mosques are spreading extremist ideas and terrorists in the country,” he urged the Ministry of Interior to shut down all mosques funded by Qatar.

Egypt, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Libya and Yemen announced cutting diplomatic ties with Qatar, accusing it of supporting, funding and protecting several terrorist groups, and of threatening the stability of the region.
