5 police personnel detained over shooting young men

Two lieutenants and three low-ranking officers were detained on Monday by North Cairo Prosecution over charges of killing a young man and injuring another in el-Nahda city, in Cairo.

The investigation revealed that the first victim received a bullet in the chest that claimed his life, while the second received a bullet in the nose.

This comes during a confrontation between the security forces and the people in the city of el-Nahda when they arrested a suspect carrying drugs.

On May 19, three lieutenants and one low-ranking officer were detained by 6 October Prosecution over charges of killing a broker from Mohandiseen district.
