Military Production Min. participates in Iraq's Defense Exhibition

CAIRO – 11 March 2019: The Ministry of Military Production participated Monday in the eighth edition of the International Defense Exhibition in Iraq (IQDEX 2019), held from March 9-12 at Baghdad International Fair Ground.

The Ministry of Military Production showcased various defense equipment, small arms, machine guns, types of ammunition and an M1-A1 tank along with an M88A2 Hercules Heavy Recovery Vehicle and communication equipment.

The ministry's participation is an opportunity to get briefed on the latest armament technologies displayed by the participating countries.

The Egyptian side is scheduled to extend invitations to participants in IQDEX to attend the second edition of IDEX 2020 which is organized by Egypt after the success of the first round that was held late in 2018.

Egypt's participation in the Iraqi defense show affirms Cairo's support for Iraq in its fight against terrorism as it conveys a message to the world on the Arab world and Iraq's ability to compete in the field of military production with the aim of maintaining security and stability in the region.
