CAPMAS releases 2nd edition of "Egypt in Figures" booklet

CAIRO, March 4 (MENA) - The Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics (CAPMAS) issued on Monday its annual edition of "Egypt in Figures" that contains the most important demographic, social and economic data, as well as some statistical indicators about Egypt.

In a statement, the CAPMAS said the new edition includes most recent database and information on demographic statistics covering many domains, including population, employment, unemployment, birth, death, marriage, divorce and social statistics covering pre-university education, university education, research centers, scientific research and patents.

It also gives the latest economic statistics on foreign trade, GDP, balance of payments, internal and external debt, agricultural production, industrial production, transport, communications, as well as tourism and environment statistics.

The booklet aims at meeting needs of researchers, decision makers and local, regional and international organizations.
