CAIRO: 24 January 2019: Defense Minister Mohamed Zaki had talks with visiting New Zealand Minister of Defense Ron Mark and his accompanying delegation on strengthening military cooperation between the two countries.

They also discussed a host of issues that serve the two countries' interests and help entrenching peace and stability in the region.

During the talks, Zaki said he is looking forward for further military cooperation and coordination between the two countries' Armed Forces in the coming period.

Mark, for his part, expressed his appreciation of efforts exerted by the Egyptian Armed Forces to preserve Arab national security and maintain regional stability.

The meeting was attended by top military brass and New Zealand ambassador in Cairo Barney Riley.
