CAIRO, Jan 14 (MENA) - President Abdel Fatah El Sisi on Monday received at El Ittihadiya Palace, UN High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) Filippo Grandi, who is currently on an official visit to Cairo, Presidential Spokesman Bassam Radi said in a statement.

The UN Refugee Agency regards Egypt as a pioneering example in the region for hosting refugees in an urban environment and providing them with all education and health services on an equal footing with Egyptians.

Egypt hosts more than 242,000 refugees and registered asylum seekers from 58 world countries. Those refugees are residing mainly in Greater Cairo, Alexandria and the North Coast.
