CAIRO, Dec 9 (MENA) - The Arab Affairs Committee of the House of Representatives lauded on Sunday Egypt's pivotal role in Syria, saying Egypt is still exerting tireless efforts to reach a political solution to the years-long crisis, defuse tension and end military operations.

The committee, in a meeting under MP Ahmed Raslan and in the presence of Assistant Foreign Minister for Arab Affairs Mohamed el Badri, stressed that restoring the national state is the only solution to the Syrian crisis and other crises in the Middle East.

He termed as positive the Egyptian role that aims at preserving the integrity of the Syrian lands.

He referred to Egypt's hosting of Syrian refugees, urging the international community to intervene and facilitate the delivery of humanitarian assistance to flash points in Syria.
