CAIRO – 30 May 2017: Model public school called the Egyptian Japanese School will be established, which also implements the Egyptian curriculum, in addition to the Japanese plus activities in all stages of education, Minister of Education Tarek Shawki issued this decision, published in the Official Gazette on Tuesday.

According to the statement, Shawki added that some official Arabic public schools and languages will be rehabilitated to convert them to these types of schools with the same name.

Egyptian Japanese School aims to education and upbringing of pupils on the values, moral principles and positive behaviors, and promote the affiliation of students to the homeland, and to instill the thought of cooperation, teamwork and the ability to solve problems and create a good learning environment. The statement added.

The provisions of this decision shall apply to the initial experience of the Egyptian Japanese schools, which numbered 12 public schools in Cairo during the academic years 2016/2017.

The minister pointed out that he will issue a ministerial decision specifying the rules and conditions required for accepting students in these schools.
