Egypt takes part in 1st 'Dialogue of Civilizations' in China'

CAIRO - 16 November 2018: Egypt took part in the first edition of "Dialogue of Civilizations" has been organized in Beijing, under the theme of "partnership or division: could civilization converge".

Greece and India also participated in the two-day forum, which is organized by Chinese CGTN TV.

Deputy Egyptian ambassador Naglaa Naguib, Cultural Counselor in Beijing Hussein Ibrahim, in addition to the Greek and Indian ambassadors to China also attended the forum.

The old civilizations, including the ancient Egyptian civilization, have made great contributions to mankind and brought prosperity to the whole world, Ibrahim said.

He stressed the importance of mobilizing international efforts, especially by countries enjoying deep history of civilizations, to face enormous challenges across the globe.

Dialogues among civilizations and people of different races, languages and beliefs are the only way to renaissance and prosperity, he added
